There is some bizarre stuff, for sure. But this is actually just national socialism. Read it again. National SOCIALISM.
Hitler pretty much shambled in, started twisting everyone's minds and effectively ruined a whole ideology.
Otto Strasser was a good man, it is sad that he got pushed away by Hitler. I'm not a huge fan of the latter, to be honest.
I don't like anything right-wing, because they don't look to the good of the people. The own culture.

Mightier than the tread of marching armies is the power of an idea whose time has come

Apparently Gregor and Otto Strasser wouldnt have accepted the Furher principle because of their perspectives on political economy, mind you the same book I read that in suggested that Hitler's own views on the Furher principle where derivative of his obsession with the Jesuits and Jesuitical authority, not too sure about that to be frank but I've read in a seperate book he kept the NS thirty points or whatever, about appropriating land and property and socialist planning, long after they had been abandoned in practice because of his admiration of the RCC's canon, so who knows.

It was definitely a different sort of "socialism" to Italian corporatism (which I think its supporters at least believed was different from capitalist corporatism and was different from Ford's American Corporatism) or Russian communism, in the UK I dont think there's even been socialism, there has been periods of class consciousness and real class struggles in a pinch, like the general strike in 1921 or the "work in" at the time of the closures of ship yards in Scotland by Keith Joseph et al.

Its a shame though because there's been some pretty damn good socialist thinking in the UK, based on its particularly english heritage, with its roots in the same sort of norms and expectations of personal responsibility which conservatives have been able to appropriate as their sole preserve.
