    I'd love to live in Ron Paul's world where people are free, and moral, and fair and care for each other for small groups.
    Public schools or Private schools, which has better quality?
    Public schools, have they benefited in quality from all the programs coming from washington, or when control was more local? Did it improve since the creation of the department of education in 1979?

    Ron Paul's point is, that currently government has overstepped its bounds to the point it is self destructive. He simply wants to start reigning it back in control, push it back in the right direction. He has no dillusions he can make his society over night, however he is offering the first steps to make it, with the unifying message of liberty and adherance to the constitution.

    I like Ron Paul to some extent. I wrote a ten page research paper on him in college. I read his book, watched speeches of him, blah blah blah. Still think he's very idealistic. He's a very nice man. He's a moral man. He's probably an INFP. But like yeah I don't think his vision is realistic in the face of the realities of human nature, no.

    I don't like the current state of the public school system, but I believe you missed my point entirely about private schools - you're not getting what I'm saying. Private companies can be incredibly restrictive. Making everything private isn't necessarily making anyone freer, it could actually go in the opposite direction.

    It's like some of you WILLFULLY are missing my point - it's not government that is the problem, IT IS HUMAN NATURE.

    I'm so glad we have the government to save us from human nature.
    Take the weakest thing in you
    And then beat the bastards with it
    And always hold on when you get love
    So you can let go when you give it

    O to legislature how great a debtor
    Daily I'm constrained to be!
    Let Thy regulations, like a fetter,
    Bind my wandering heart to Thee:
    Prone to wander, prez, I feel it,
    Prone to leave the Government I love;
    Here's my heart, O take and seal it;
    Seal it for Thy supreme court above.
    Take the weakest thing in you
    And then beat the bastards with it
    And always hold on when you get love
    So you can let go when you give it

    I'd like Ron Paul to explain the entire rest of the first world to me.

    Human nature is overstating it. There are bad actors in our society, and this is an inevitable reality. Government's purpose is to ensure that these bad actors do not have the ability to exploit and harm the rest of us. It is a tool, and nothing more.

    It's called "balance of power"...a concept I thought you might be familiar with considering the three branches of our federal government. By a similar method, balance between business and government and common people keeps any of the three from destroying the rest.

    It's a beautiful thing.

    That's because the "big business" section of the government, people, business triad got inflated out of control.

    That is one of the most astoundingly simplistic and naive political statements I've ever read.
    Who wants to try a bottle of merc's "Extroversion Olive Oil?"
