Staying on topic is immensely misleading because we all think by association. And the more associations, the more we think. And the richer our association, the richer our thought.

I can't help feeling that the topic police are simply impoverished in their associations and wish to reduce us to their level.

Funny, I had a similar thought earlier. Ni power!

Why isn't it working privately if these people care so much? Why isn't it already a dismissal of the government? I would love to REALISTICALLY dismiss the government...to say...."we don't need you!"

But that's not at all the reality of what's going on.

I don't care about your bullshit Ni power. I care about real people who lack things.

Once again I agree with Victor.

The state has always taken money from those who pass through, live in or do business within its borders, and charity has always been around. It's linked to compassion(virtue), which seems to be a fairly common in humans. In any case, the actions of the state don't influence how genuine a charitable act or gift is.

I think it's nuts that people like Ron Paul want to cut the federal government down to the departments and functions outlined in the constitution all at once. All they need to do is go to any low-income block in any town and start counting the number of people who will turn to violent crime when their free shit starts getting taken away. You ween the child from the teat over a period of time, give it something else to suck on. In this case it could be independence. Independence would be wonderful to suck on, wouldn't it? Especially if you're left paralyzed from polio because the government no longer provides free vaccines to kids. lol.

Well it's too bad then that your associations with anything Christian are so limited and narrow. The bible is a big freaking book and Christianity has been around for 2000 years. Yet, you have such few thoughts on the matter... and simple ones, if not factually incorrect ones, at that.

Wonderful, I don't care about you not caring. I still wouldn't care even if you did care. Glad we could get that out of the way. Now do you have something substantial to add to the discussion here?

This isn't an issue of Se vs Ni. This is primarily about you trying to misinterpret Christ's words to suit a narrow political agenda.

On what grounds are you making this argument?
I think that Christ was pretty clear on the charity issue not "me me me."

I don't know how people even mistake this for being a complex issue.

I'm just arguing with a bunch of middle class assholes who have never met a poor person in their lives.

That's what I'm starting to think.
