Having watched the video, it sounds like only a few people are actually yelling "YEAH" to the question should the person be left to die.
Oh so now churches and business will run everything.

    Yep, sounds like a plan.

Let's go back to religious rule. I bet you're excited about that, huh?

Indeed, so did people wanting power and control over the riches of the population, the Kings.

Liberty vs. Life Expectancy. Liberty loses.

Yes. And that it is simply disregarding the simple fact that business can rule in just as a corrupt manner as government. Any one entity given too much power leads to abuses of power. I hear libertarians say the strangest things about government, like they have no awareness of human nature - that people exercise these abuses in business and in small groups, that without government something else will rise in its place.

It's giving business too much power, just like communists gave government too much power.

I think that life is too sheltered for anyone who would want to see the social death that libertarianism involves play out, I mean why dont they just go to Somalia and see how its working for them instead?
    EXACTLY.

Hang on a minute you're using a discussion about health servies to attack religion?

Peguy's post was only taking account of the fact that the abscence of the state in provision hasnt meant there's been no provision, many, probably all, of the functions co-opted by governments during their welfarist phase where previously carried out by the religious, social services, poor relief, health services, hospitals have their origins in the hospitaleers house of hospitality for pilgrims. Its unacknowledged. Mainly because if there's one thing liberals hate more than capitalism its its predecessors.

I wouldnt say that they did it better or are a better alternative nowadays to properly funded public services.

Are you purposly being difficult and creating nonsensical arguments?
I suppose you are oblivious to the fact that business do run everything, when they have government sanction? As in legislation and regulation written specificly for their benefit?
