Rainy days are lovely, though. It is good snuggling weather.

I would agree. 18 or 19 would be great, but simply getting rid of all the crap tied to keeping the age 21 and letting states decide again would be fine by me.

    2) Introduce a limited campaign season for the presidential election in tandem with an ironclad campaign spending limit. Enough is enough.
Eh, I think we have much bigger fish to fry.

    3) Make state-recognized marriage a right of all US citizens.
I would say the opposite. Eliminate government sanction of "marriage." Civil union contracts only for two mentally competent adults 18 and over. Marriage should be defined by individuals informed by their own beliefs and conscience.

I think the standard should mirror European countries who institute a gradual increase in level of alcohol allowed to be consumed, starting at 16.

There's a far too negative stigma surrounding alcohol due to ignorance of it in the states. The more ignorant you are of a thing, the less responsible you can act with it. Drugs are one of those things you can only truly understand by first hand experience.

    1) Taxing income is market-distorting and discourages growth

    2) Scotching the income tax could help to constrain the federal government due to less revenue flowing in

    3) In practice, income tax codes always suffer from loopholes, oddball deductions, "tax expenditures" and so on

The only real thing I would like is for the Supreme court to reign in its expansive understanding of the commerce clause.

This would be mine. It's a bit daydreamy, but maybe corporations wouldn't write laws anymore. I think it's the single biggest thing wrong with the country.

I am for all of these, except realistically I don't think it would be a good idea to do the first in one fell swoop. the resulting back lash would be millions of 18-20 year olds rushing to the liquor stores and getting as wasted as possible. you would see drunk driving accidents quadruple in a single day. I would slowly lower it down to 16 or 17, ideally getting rid of it completely eventually

eh, i really doubt that it would make a difference. i don't know any 18-20 year olds who want to drink that are sitting around waiting for their 21st birthday because they can't figure out another way to buy booze.
