Everyone is out for their own electoral best interest.

We have a vested interest in keeping those likely to vote for you home on election day just as much as you have a vested interest in keeping those likely to vote for us home on election day.

    Your logic is impressively sound.

That was a typo on my part; I mean my complete unrestricted freedom

@OP : It's called a Democracy. Everyone is supposed to be entitled to a voice.

    This is absurd.

To be fair, the article is from the extreme anarcho-capitalist libertarian point of view. It's bound to be absurd.

The majority of those fuckwits don't know the experience of being an ethnic minority or a visible target, have never worked a day in a minimum-wage job, or ever worried about having enough money...or anything, really. They're just chilling in their mama's basement, imagining that they're the coolest, most enlightened beings in the nation.

Edit: Y'all happy now? I didn't know indulging in ad-homenim was so troublesome.

Registering the poor to vote is most assuredly not un-American. Voting for one's own subjugation to the state would have been un-American two centuries ago. But, right now it would seem voting for federal entitlements is more american than apple pie. So the fight isn't really over whether there should be entitlements (see leg's comment above about the author's cluelessness about social security), but who gets the biggest piece of the entitlement pie.

    A) Does that sound libertarian to you?

    B) Anarcho-capitalists wouldn't be in favor of any government at all, so NO ONE would vote or receive welfare benefits, anyway.

Your obsession with shoehorning "libertarian" into every political post makes me giggle. You never let facts get in the way of a good story, do you? You and Lark should start a think tank. I can see the policy papers now: "Stalin's Great Purge: a Failure of Libertarianism," "Frederick Douglass: Abolitionist Hero, or Libertarian Baby-Eater?" and "George W Bush: Forget the Foreign Policy Interventions, PATRIOT Act, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, TARP, Deficit Spending, Medicare Part D, Arresting Cancer Patients for Weed, and Hundreds of Thousands of Dead People,
    This Guy Was a Libertarian!"

I feel like I am living in the Twilight Zone. Honestly, this has to be a put-on. Please, for the love of Aqua Buddha, do not use the term "libertarian" if you have no idea what it means and (more importantly) does NOT mean.
