Michele Bachmann (and a lot of this new batch) makes George Bush look like Steven Hawking.
And people wonder why the rest of the world thinks Americans are idiots? Apparently, the only politicians that can appeal to the masses are the ones with a literacy level and problem solving skills below that of my ten year old sister.

What is even more interesting is that the Deputy Prime Minister of Japan, a nation conquered by the USA and so know it intimately at home and abroad, actually told the truth about Americans, not just their elected leaders. And of course he was forced to apologise afterwards for telling the truth about Americans.
And the Deputy Prime Minister said that Americans are one dimensional.
That Americans are one dimensional is so uncontroversial that Alexis-Charles-Henri Clérel de Tocqueville (1805-1859) in his book, "Democracy in America", made exactly the same point as the Deputy Prime Minister of Japan today.
Of course being one dimensional gives Americans immense strength in one direction, but gives them a blind spot in every other direction.
