For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.

Funny how the votes have increased.

Last week when this conversation started again, I think the tally was

    Should be given: 126
    Should not be given: 6

    Now it is:
    Should be given: 144 (+18)
Should not be given: 9 (+3)

there is no good argument for it not to be given. Religion? let the church decide based on their doctrine if the church doesn't want to marry gays (which I don't agree with) they can just go get married somewhere else. And there are churches that would be willing to marry gay couples liberal churches do exist believe it or not. But it shouldn't be the states or your or my business who people marry unless that person getting married is you or me. respectively.

That would work if it was originally that way. It's a change so the argument that it's abnormal seems to work.

I said there were no good arguments, not that their were stupid arguments that people would think were good viable arguments
