Rupert has pursued power all his life and this is expressed in his marriages as he likes to express his sexual power by marrying his employees.

Because Rupurt is a gold mine. Why would she need anyone else when she has one of them most powerful men in the world?

Isn't that a good relationship then? They both get what they want from the other.

    HEEHEE!

Please go post in the 'is it rape when' thread and comment on the current discussion on gold-diggers.

And exactly - she has no need to switch horses in mid-stream. She has two kids with this man. She is set for life. How can she 'trade up' from where she is now?

Trade the old beater in for a newer, flashier but less practical model.

Where the husband only wants sex and the wife only wants money? A functional relationship perhaps, but far from a good one.

If that's what those people primarily want and they are happy with the tradeoffs, then what's wrong with it? Neither of them appears to be deceiving the other. Is their marriage "bad" compared to couples who select each other primarily by physical attraction?

Are those who marry for love better than those who marry for money?

Of course. But marrying for sex is no better than marrying for money. If someone believe that more money is more likely to lead to a satisfying long term relationship for them than more sex, are they automatically a worse person?
