Saved - to return to the hell from which he tried to escape. But an interesting girl.

it wasn't the kiss that saved him, it was her other actions. the story's just being dramatic.

I have reverence for life and take heart that others do too and would act to try and prevent someones death by suicide, it is disheartening however that people feel suicide is a good idea in the first place.

That much could be concluded from the axiom 'a kiss is just a kiss'.

Some times that's all a person needs to know, that it's survivable (their situation, not the suicide). It's a weird thing being in the depths of despair like that. Every things so foggy, and all hope is lost. Just a sliver of kindness/caring can mean the difference between life and death. The girl knew that intimately, and instinctively, as only one who's been there can.
The boy might returning to hell, but as strange as it seems, when you really are in hell on earth, the importance of small gestures really magnify in significance. Some times it's all you have.
Currently submerged under an avalanche of books and paper work. I may come back up for air from time to time.
Real life awaits and she is a demanding mistress.

Agreed. I thought that was a pretty amazing situation, and wonder how many people could really say they'd do something like that. I would want to help, but I think not knowing someone or exactly what state of mind they are in, I'd fear that such an unusual approach just might push them. Very touching story though.

Well that was surely better than what Dirty Harry did.

    Oh I hate 1 liners.
