Actually, I think the inverse for this is Craigslist. I read through all of the craigslist personal ads periodically for entertainment value. There is a lot of very wayward people in that section and some of the photos are frightening.

I really want to join this site... With a picture of some ridiculously hot girl... Just to turn down any advances by telling them that they're not nearly attractive enough.

Speaking of that... a site that claims to have real beautiful people should have more stringent requirements for photos.

Example: You provide your e-mail, username, etc. to sign up. You get an e-mail with a confirmation code. Then, you have to take a picture of yourself holding a piece of paper with that code written on it. Then, your photo is displayed and voted on, with the code under it, for verification by users.

I like the premise. This way self-absorbed twats can mingle amongst themselves and I don't have to interact with them.

I don't have a problem with the site. People qualify and disqualify others for dates based on all sorts of things (for instance MBTI type). I'm more put off by online dating sites in general just because it's so pre-meditated, which takes away part of the excitement of dating, imo.

Thats really wise imo, I'd end the sentence tho with "I am put off by online dating sites because they automatize dating like you look for the best cow in the cattle.". There is one issue that stands against this opinion here tho, namely our generation has become very independent of each others in the physical sense. I mean you can like order everything via computer today so you dont need people really no more. The problem then of course is that not everyone will develop to be the social butterfly needed to get a girl and some people would rather find their real luck over a dating site.

So my revised opinion would be, I think, as long as our generation is like this, serious dating sites are ok. But in the moment they start to put an advantage on a physical trait like beauty or intelligence ( there's a site in Germany where only people with an University degree can join ), I think at that point one flew over the cuckoo's nest

So you're not tempted at all towards founding a "beautiful and gifted" dating site?
