maybe there's a male-female bias in interpreting expressions? I don't have especially high Fe in general (obviously lol)

alternatively, we're both wrong and the dude is just expressing joy. It could happen.

I don't know. Maybe Sensing Thinkers have a better grasp due to virtue of Sensing!!!

I'm pretty damn sure that's not the case. That facial expression is trying to work a room or project sex or "look at me I'm hot."

I used to practice my facial expressions when I was a stripper, and my ex was also good at them.

Also note: JTG1984's facial expressions in some of his pics, he's got a handle on it too.

That guy knows what he's doing.

Smug is a subset of happy.

Plus whenever I have that look, people just think I'm cute!?!

Seriously, you are projecting based on confounding variables (eg you associate people who look like that with certain personality types and arrogance).

Smug is a subset of arrogant.

Some people find that very cute.

But I'm not susceptible to it completely, I'm suspicious of it, because I do it myself.

I learned how to perform in such a way I could properly convey "confidently sexy" and "interested when I'm actually not" and "projecting sex" as my ex used to call it.

That boy probably knows how to pout, too, which is why I said I would be suspicious of him if I saw him in public.

There are varying levels of it though, and that guys' arrogance is OFF THE CHARTS. I can't explain it if you don't see it.

Aren't people supposed to be attracted to confidence? I keep hearing this bullshit, I don't believe it. I don't even know anymore. Or is arrogance so far removed from confidence that it becomes contradictory?

I'm attracted to playful confidence, not asswipe level arrogance.

Arrogance at some point morphs into either narcissism or insecurity. Or both.

I tend to want to walk up to guys like that and take them down a peg or two.

You don't even know the guy FFS. You're assuming he is arrogant because you associate participation on that site with arrogance. (among other reasons)

No, you really don't get it at all. It's kind of crazy to me. I'm pretty perceptive about people, I typically know which guys to stay away from, et al.

Just because your "people readiing" skills are poor doesn't mean that I'm wrong.

I never said any of the other guys on the site looked arrogant, did I?

How can you possibly discern the level of confidence being projected? This has to be some mystical power I'm unfamiliar with. Like, what does playful even look like, how can you do that? It seems to me like you're just making huge assumptions here about these people and you're probably right where I can't see what you're describing. But give me something to work with. A smile is a smile.
