    God Damn!!!

    Awesome!!!

Actually yeah, my first thought what what is that guy doing getting laid with the girl of my dreams right in front of the bloudy riot police, then I thought maybe the riot cops had stomped them and that had triggered the riot.

Riots ARE to do with mob mentalities, they arent the end of the world either, believe me I come from the land which invented "recreational rioting" (yeah, do you bloudy believe it?), I've been mobbed by bands of wee f*ckers before and it sucks, got my lip tore up bad by one which got a couple of lucky punches in once too and another time had to drive into a shop and help they owner pull down the storm shutter on the guys who were too slow as the mob, cops, (shooting?) got nearer.

To be honest I think it makes canada cooler than I already thought it was which to be honest is hard to believe. I'd definitely move there if they wanted social workers.

    Unhappy

Far from being an aberration, Vancouver is our future.

And our future is our struggle for identity in the global village.

As our individual identity attenuates in the electronic media, we find we are becoming retribalised.

And each etribe needs, first and foremost, to establish its tribal identity. And the best way to establish identity is by public violence.

Of course public violence is anathema to the literate individual, but a necessity to the etribe in the global village.

Today we all live in Vancouver.

You can express your identity in public without violence. I think also, the way they were violent toward police and cars etc,
is geared toward a herd mentality. If one person sees another being violent, they mimic them. How is that the best way to show your identity? You're being like everyone else.
