Whether it's legal or not is of little relevance from an ethical perspective.

What Nato is doing in Libya is hardly ethical.

32 page of a written report isn't an explanation?

Pushing and aiding a movement for a westernized society could be seen as unethical in multiple different areas, if you take into count the marginalized opposed of that type situation. We're not helping because we want the people over there to be better off, we're helping in support of the modern domino affect(?) that will cause more nations to adopt something more closely related to our version of politics.

    Woah, a distant relative?
No more questioning it, this is the right course of action.
But before we depart from this profound, meaningful discussion, can someone lend me a sippy cup? I keep spilling my juicy juice.

There is nothing unethical about promoting principles of fairness and tolerance. We should never pretend to be neutral bystanders in the global scene. We do not tolerate intolerance.

Exactly. Why should it be any other way? We should make it clear that our goal is to promote a minimum set of core values which will allow people of differing beliefs to coexist in peace. We should never pretend to be altruists.

Trivial. If Bush or Obama did it and got away with it, then obviously they have the legal power to do so. If Obama actually did say that in 2007, then he was simply misinformed. Now he knows better.

well if he said he wouldnt do it and then does it thats a problem.

It's a time in which you dont know whats true and whats not. Our strictly conservative government which always was pro atomic power, just declared we will get away from it and the same government who tried to do what the nato wants just now said we wont fight in Lybia. I am telling you, first of all we'll have no army no more in Germany and then we'll ward of enemies with wind mills.

What has become of the good old ruthless Blitzkrieg in which we destroyed a country in two weeks, exploited it ressources and made the countries inhabitants our slaves ? Nothing is more as it once was ...
