For clarification, what do you think should be done with literature or websites that promote hate speech? Should they be banned? Should the publication of Mein Kampf, for instance, be halted?

From what I know about the case, the comedian called the woman a "dyke" and a "stupid cunt". What do you think should happen to him as a result of this?

Geiger-Adams ordered Earle and Ishmail to pay a total of $22,500 for lost wages and for injury to dignity, feelings and self respect.
She deserves to taunted even more for admitting she is so weak that she "lost wages" because she was insulted. Pathetic.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

I don't think I would remain terribly upset if somebody (a comedian, a person paid to offend people and obtain cheap laughs) offended me. I might, but come on.

Glad to see everyone drawing conclusions and expressing opinions with little to no information AND facts.

I don't think anyone here is an eyewitness. This is really just all speculation spawned from boredom.

Transcripts would shed some reality onto this discussion.

The topic of debate is freedom of speech, not the alleged over-sensitivity of the woman in question; transcripts are unnecessary, and would in fact be a distraction from the real issue.

I would say she should be sterilized. Someone like her is clearly a liability to society, and her kids, either from genetics or the way they will be raised, most likely will inherit some of her traits.

Indeed. I am tempted to call her an opportunistic sow, but we do not have all the details and it therefore wouldn't be right. Deus misereatur.

We have enough eyewitness testimony to determine that the minimum of what happened was that the comedian called her a "dyke" and "stupid cunt". That's, again, been determined. He also broke her sunglasses, and she threw a glass of water at him.
