I was gonna say "right on!" ...until I realized she's trying to cash in on it to become famous, then images of Nicole Kidman in the movie To Die For flashed through my head, and I then got disgusted.

Same here. I too thought "good for you" until the cashing in portion. Quite the hardass if you can kill someone and then use the death to further your modeling career.

Aren't we supposed to emulate celebrities, the role models for our cultural endeavors? This bold independence, not to mention sheer bravery, is admirable. She isn't a loser, today, she is the winner.

I endorse the shooting of the home invader, but I cannot and will not endorse those stupid-looking pink guns. Nor the attention whoring.

    You're pretty funny.

It reminds me of deep thoughts with Jack Handy.

That gun's not pink its chrome.

I dont know what to think about this, I support people's right to defend themselves and the idea of been keen to cash in on the story is only someone's subjective spin on it and they are no doubt cashing in on reporting their view that someone else is cashing in, plus no one is able to cash in without a co-operative pool of consumers to enable/facilitate it.

Everyone gets their fifthteen minutes of fame and like Johnny Rotten used say to his critics when accused of selling out "It was your money".

Stories like this one are probably good if it provides some disincentive to commit crimes, its a small hope since the people involved generally arent the best and brightest or too reflective in the first place but it beats a headline about a defenceless beauty queen being raped and murdered by a home invader.
