    Wow, I only thought farmers hated it. Its insanely popular where I live, in fact they just extended the daylight savings period by several weeks, a few years ago.

    It does depend where you live (ie your latitude), as to the value of it.

    I've dreamt in my life dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas;
    they've gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the colour of my mind.

    I like daylight savings time but I wished they'd use it in the winter and not the summer. Where I live, it gets dark around 4:30 pm in Decemeber and that's just waaaay to early!

    I think it's the greatest thing going. I work during the day. I like to be able to do outdoor things in the evenings.

    Yes, THIS.

    It's so idiotic when you think about it. You want an extra hour of daylight in the evening? Just start everything an hour earlier. Which is what DST does, by tricking everyone into it. We arbitrarily change the time of day, rather than just start our days sooner. Why? Because we are slaves to an arbitrary measuring system.

    CAN'T OPEN THE STORE TILL 9 AM.
    Oh wait, we're calling 8am the new 9am now?
    Then it's okay. :steam:

    P.S. it's daylight saving, not savings
