Why not operate with the sun, rather than against it? The problem is we place more emphasis on the numbers, on the symbolic representations of time, rather than the real cause of a significant determining factor for when we decide to do things. It is a bit amusing that we would come to this solution. It gives us a sense of control over time, I suppose. We like to be in control. It is good to be in control.
It's so idiotic when you think about it. You want an extra hour of daylight in the evening? Just start everything an hour earlier. Which is what DST does, by tricking everyone into it. We arbitrarily change the time of day, rather than just start our days sooner. Why? Because we are slaves to an arbitrary measuring system.
