And you are an man in his 30s/40s/50s who apparently has nothing better do to than talk shit to this kid. Who's more at fault? Donate your fortune (if you have any, which I doubt) to an organization and apply for volunteer work already instead of talking shit to this kid, because he couldn't care less about what you say.

Defeat? How is it "defeat" that I object to your tasteless sense of humour?

Sorry that I can't oblige you by flying back to Japan (I was there in December), but I've done what I could nonetheless.
It's clear that you don't have any valid objections to my sense of humour when you resort to stereotypes that have to do with age.

And Japan was definitely in need of your aid in December. Definitely.

You either go all-in or you shut up.

so anyone who can't fly over there to help is talking rubbish and doesn't care? All the people who've donated for this or other disasters count for nothing, apparently?

Oh, no. You are definitely able to talk the talk, and you probably feel very supportive of the Japanese. I just cannot respect your criticism of my "tasteless humour" unless you are willing to walk the walk/run the marathon.

I've donated a substantial amount of money for this and relief for other disasters, and have been keeping tabs on my friends over there, but cheers for the sentiment. I now know that counts for nothing. Thanks for enlightening us.

I have friends in the Tokyo/Yokohama area who were in the major earthquake there, and I have friends elsewhere in Japan whose friends have lost family in this disaster, and I have at least one acquaintance who lost a friend. So I don't think it's too surprising that I'd find this type of humour tasteless. It was pretty frightening for me when I heard what had happened and had to try and find out if various friends or acquaintances were alive and well.

I am much more understanding of your emotions then.

I didn't find it funny, but it had nothing to do with it being offensive.
