We do. We need to make school lunches now too. That service has stopped.

My workmate told me about a family of three that was swept away in the tsunami. The dad tried to hold on but the mum and kid were swept away. The dad was caught in a tree but hasn't heard whether they are safe. Imagine how that must feel.

Really horrible. The thought of losing "everything" I have is horrible.

I'm still worried about the reactor, it'll cause an even bigger problem than the quake has.

Besides the cost of damage to the reactor itself, there is no real problem. There hasn't and won't be a major release of material from the core like Chernobyl. I'm more worried about the tens of thousands presumed to be dead.

I am worried about that too.

It is just the worse case scenario of seeing radiation fill the area, that's all. If it explodes, it'll be a big problem for rescues efforts... etc.

There is no chance of the reactor containments being breached, even if there is a full melt-down.

    Urgh......

Seriously, the reports make me a little sick, esp the hundreds of bodies washing up on sea. I don't even want to picture that.

Japan has plenty of money to deal with this themselves. I'm not donating a penny.

    radiation leaks

    raining today too.

in other news, treasuries became the world’s best-performing bonds
this past week after the pm announced the increased risk of radiation leaks.
    oil and rubber has dropped.
