Well, yes. But I also want to see the lives of innocent people to be safe from violence and death.

You just want pot legalized. Trying to justify your case by claiming it'll help Mexico won't work, not least of which because cocaine and heroin are the main drugs that's at the center of the violence. This is largely the latest round in a cycle of violence and corruption that's been plaguing Mexico for some time.

If that's the case, then yes I think cocaine should be legalized as well (I mentioned that in my argument). If it can make the standard of living better for people then we should legalize certain (if not all) drugs.

How will legalization improve the standard of living?

Not having to send pot smokers to prison would certainly increase the well being of their lives. Personally I find it disgusting how pot smokers can be placed behind bars with murders and rapists, where they will get beaten and raped adn then once released have to suffer the socail stigma of being a criminal, which makes it difficult for them to find jobs.

My opinion is that we should do either one of two things:

    1. Legalize all drugs and see what happens.

    2. Implement the death penalty for all drug users and sellers. Allow the police to shoot them on sight.

Those are the only two ways we're ever going to make progress from the current drug situation. Without going to either of those extremes, the status quo in regard to drugs will be maintained. We already know that gentler methods of enforcement and discouragement do not work.

This is true. I was actually thinking earlier, that echnically if super evil laws were forced against drug dealer and user alike, that it might eliminate the problem once and for all.
