I don't remember seeing any that was not easily refuted.
    What side?

As far as I'm aware there are no consequences between consenting adults, barring STD's, and the usual relationship fall out. And well, the same thing goes for hetero. I'm not gay myself, but my best friend is. They are just the same, they just happen to be attracted to the same sex. Any other issues pertains more to lack of social acceptance.

We've already had a whole court case about it in California as well.

Millions of dollars spent to pass Prop 8, but the same people with the same resources couldn't make a legal court case for their position when they had the opportunity. What more is there to say? I'd be disgusted with that regardless of what side someone was taking; either they blew off the case like a middle-school kid slumming on an exam... or they made the best position they could and it didn't even come close to holding water.

Even if that were not from The Onion, how would it be relevant?

Being a good parent, a role model for a stable family, is in no way dictated simply by one's sexual orientation.
