I'm a proponent of abortion. Reason being, our population is so d*mn huge, and there are so many people who raise children that are completely unfit to do the job right. Why force those people to raise children they will not be attentive to, or will not be afford to care for properly? In this day and age, where humans are multiplying to the point of depleting a planet's resources, I think accidental pregnancy should be an arena we are more kind towards and allow the mother the make the right decision for herself.

This is false. The world population has grown by more than 50% since 1980, but absolute poverty has fallen from about 50% to 20-25% in the same time. Outside of a few developing countries in what used to be called "the Third World," the biggest population problem we have now is low birth rates/population aging, not population growth.

We're swarming the entire planet, depleting all the resources, taking over all the habitat, what do you mean, the population is fine? There are way too many people.

Then how have so many people gone from being so poor to relatively better off? Climate change is certainly a problem, but what else do you see as so terrible? If population growth goes hand-in-hand with economic growth, why are there "way too many people?" Where? And how many should there be, by your standards?

The "developing world" is a huge part of the planet.

But none of that justifies what that doctor did.

No matter how badly the world is overpopulated, messing with late-term fetuses and newborns isn't the answer.

And we are far from that hideously desperate at this point. There is lots of earth out there still, and the great fronteirs of ocean and space.

The only real threat to the earth is not our population, but our inefficient use of resources, population control is a ridiculous argument for anyone to be using at this point in our history, considering just the U.S. alone wastes enough food every year to feed the entire planets population and then some, and we are currently capable of providing nearly infinite energy for the whole world if we wanted to, the problem is all the politics and violence, all these people unwilling to work together towards mutually beneficial goals, our planet has the ability to easily support many times our current population if things where ran more efficiently...

That's why I vote we all support Luna in her bid for world domination, she will MAKE everyone co-operate with her furious furry paws of...uh...fury... >.<
