    Default Lunar eclipse

Anyone watching the lunar eclipse? The moon is almost fully dark right now.

I don't want it, I just need it, to breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.

Yeah, it probably peaked a bit before I posted my message. The moon is 95% back to full again right now.

From my angle, it basically just turned brown at the peak.

(I probably should have put this in the "Nature..." forum. I was thinking "current events" when I posted it here.)

That was nice of your dad.

I'll check out things happening in the night sky, as long as I don't have to go through a big effort to see them.

My wife and I popped out the back door every 15 minutes or so with the binoculars to check out the progress of the eclipse. But it was pretty chilly out there, so we would only spend about a minute outside and then dash right back inside again.

Too cloudy here to see anything. I saw the one in August though- it was amazing.

Before we got the crap weather, the sky was clear, and the moon was so bright -- I enjoyed watching the lunar eclipse!

We watched it. It was neat how the shadow was translucent.

I'm really glad I saw it, most of the time when I've tried to watch an eclipse the weather hasn't cooperated (or I've missed it for some reason).
