You're an elitist snob who chooses to believe that you're in the ranks of the genetically superior, so you've placed yourself firmly at the top of your libertarian fantasies at the expense of reality?
When did I ever suggest I was "genetically superior?" Intelligence has a genetic component, but your rhetoric makes it sound as if I think I am some type of Aryan superman or something. Genetics and family background should be de-emphasized in a meritocratic libertarian society.
I'm not anti-gun or anti-second ammendment (as I have gone on and on about in rich and personal detail in this thread) I just think that it should be harder for mentally unstable people to get their hands on weapons which quickly kill many.
That is fine, but that is not what many consider "gun control," as this thread clearly demonstrates.
Who wants to try a bottle of merc's "Extroversion Olive Oil?"
That is a return to the you've got one cause they've got one argument.
Maybe this too varies from country to country, but I have often heard that - at least here- professional burglars hardly ever carry firearms (in order to avoid an escalation of violence if they should be confronted with the homeowner). If they don't immediately threaten the homeowner, he or she has no right to shoot at them just for breaking and entering, so nobody gets hurt. At least that's the idea.
