I use Arctic Cooling fans usually. The directional fans on rubber supports. Besides I always have music playing or something so my PC doesn't need to be completely silent

No not Koolance, more just I went to an aquarium supply shop and started looking around at submersible mag-drive pumps I could build into a reservoir. In the end I have a Swiftech pump now, the rest of my system is all Danger Den.

I don't want it, I just need it, to breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.

Never take life to seriously.. No one gets out alive in the end anyway.

Quieter than Arctic Silver! They are expensive though. I like mine quiet but it's a long way off silent. Perhaps 20bB total? Something like that.

Oh and if you do retube then the word is to get Thermochill radiators. They're British though so it may not be too easy.

Have you ever been to Xtreme Systems?

I keep waiting for this thread to get back on topic, and then I remember that it's Xander's thread.

Mayhaps the technobabble can be split off. :rolli:

Yuz only keeping it going though RC

I was under the impression that aside from the few gathered that the topic was pretty much dead. Not many took an interest and hence I saw little to preserve past the words of, mostly, those who are side tracking along with me.

Anyhow it's called Consideration. What I can't consider someone's water cooling?

Isn't it time for a colourful metaphor?

Consider considering water cooling in the appropriate subforum.

Only now am I thinking of trying to build a secondary computer out of the spares. Something to tinker with Linux on. Let me see it may well be a core2duo on a striker extreme... I only throw away the best of parts
We recently got a Compaq laptop with core2duo.
It's a very nice machine. Very pleased.
My son uses it to edit video.

You could always put it back on topic.

I have no interest in the topic, and I know better than to bother having any sort of rational discussion with Xander.

Ooo I don't get on well with laptops. Mind you when considering recent troubles I probably just plain don't get on with electronics!
