As the "least regressed" form of government, should timocracy be applauded for its innocence, or ridiculed for its naiveté? I accept picture answers as well.

If the autocrat was innocent, the state would perhaps become the greatest pinnacle of virtue the world has ever seen. But the chances of this being the case are quite slim. I wouldn't be entirely opposed to autocracy. We must, as my mother says, try everything once...

Agreed! We have to experiment to actually see what happens!

    sure.

but if the autocrat was totally innocent, s/he'd be killed off ASAP. hence the lack of overwhelming innocence in an lasting autocracy.

    however, an interesting example.

balance of power would seem to be essential.

a positive change? What does that even mean? It has happened many times in the past, depending on who you ask. But somebody (or many bodies) will always be dissatisfied with any change, no matter how "positive" the general consensus is.

Democracy is the right of stupid people to decide what everyone else is allowed to do with their lives.

Some of what's being posted as democracy I associate with elections instead or representation. I view democracy as being more about popular sovereignty, built up on personal responsibility, then again I dont associate it entirely with government or politics but having a much wider application. Not sure I could find a good picture for that though.
