Well, in this case, these people are trying to look like clowns. Maybe these people should wear clown clothing also?

I admit that people who tattoo their whole body are weird, but tattooing only some parts isn't as strange as having face paint.

Yeah, I stand by what I said. Have you seen NBA players lately? You can barely see their skin anymore with all the drawing and writing all over their bodies. I think that looks just as stupid as face paint. At least face paint can wash off. I'm not talking about violent behavior or anything, I'm just talking about the look.

To me there is a big difference between "this person is an idiot for committing violent acts of agression towards someone" and "this person is an idiot for having a certain look I don't like or having different hobbies than me." It seems like topics like this one result in a "piling on" thing where a lot of people are doing the latter, and I don't like that.

I'm not going to defend the actions of the Juggalos, but these people remind me of people at any metal concert. People get together to rock out to music as a communal experience, they peirce their noses, they shave their heads, they have tattoos. And they revel in their differences with people who are all different like themselves. It's an irony, but it's a very real experience.

A lot of them are low income have had hard lives and feel rejected by society. It's a sort of church for those who can't find anything to believe in. The makeup is only superficial. It's the identity that's the point. I'm guessing clowns are the perfect metaphor to mock the people that they identify as the problem.

What if it involved piling on Tila Tequila?
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."
