Default Vote Match quiz (american presidential election)

    Vote Match

suggestion: look at the topic descriptions before marking your selection. It gives information about what sort of positions would fall under strongly support, support, oppose, and strongly oppose.

I didn't get any higher match to a candidate than 53%. I'm not sure I'm confident I will be very well represented. Ah well, I can't say I really ever expect to be.

I haven't done enough research yet, but comparing how much I valued particular topics and how well each candidate matched those values, I think if I had to vote today, I'd probably vote for Ron Paul.

    My results:

    Mike Gravel 53%
    Chris Dodd 50%
    Hilary Clinton 50%
    Ron Paul 50%
    Cynthia McKinney 48%
    Mike Huckabee 48%
    Bill Richardson 48%
    Joe Biden 45%
    John Cox 43%
    Barack Obama 43%
    John Edwards 40%
    Dennis Kucinich 40%
    John McCain 38%
    Alan Keyes 33%
    Fred Thompson 33%
    Mitt Romney 30%
    Duncan Hunter 28%
    Rudi Giuliani 20%

I'd take it, but I can't figure out how to take it with the current presidential candidates. I clicked 'presidential candidates,' but it gives me last election's.

Thanks for getting the corrected link, whatever! I had pulled the link from my results page and then just deleted all the ending info for my results, but I guess I didn't check it to make sure the link worked. My link should be corrected now too.

Wel, at least you've got slightly better choices for someone who represents your views.

I'm such an odd duck mix of various political platforms that even if there ever was a candidate choice who matched all my perspectives, I'm pretty sure they'd never get elected.

    Moderately Liberal

    50% John Edwards
    48% Chris Dodd
    48% Hillary Clinton
    43% John McCain
    (etc)

Telling that my highest connection with a candidate was only a 50%.
    They all stink.

hey- not much of a better chance than I have! Kucinich kinna disagrees with me on one of my most important issues  and nobody that I really like usually has a chance anyways!

oh well *shrug* I've gotten used to it by now and generally either vote in protest or find the lesser of the evils offered!

yeah- I'll admit I suppose- I hated both candidates last election so much that I voted Green Party I knew how my state was going anyways, so I might as well cast a protest vote!

I have taken a number of tests like these, and they all give different results.
They aren't really reliable. There are so many different questions and options that such a test would have to provide, and the system itself would have to be more complicated. Answer priority and second choices would make a big difference, for instance.

The list I got from this test is rather misleading. Someone might look at this and think that they could elect me to be some radical liberal champion.
    They would be sorely disappointed.
    Go to sleep, iguana.

    68% Dennis Kucinich
    60% Cynthia McKinney
    58% Hillary Clinton
    55% Chris Dodd
    50% Mike Gravel
    40% Joe Biden
    48% Barack Obama
    48% Bill Richardson
    45% John Edwards
    38% Ron Paul
    And so on.

Going by that test I have next no nothing in common with the Democrats view of social policy, and I have next to no nothing in common with the Republicans view of economic policy. Go figure.
