I'm imagining Victor as a character in Mad Max now, big 'tache and everything.

Hey! Mad Max was set in Australia, wasn't it?

indeed... now that we know Victor's real identity he's going to have to drop the act and admit to being an ST of some variety... and will have to start acting it

No, I don't and never have. Everyone in my family who did smoke had quit by the time I was born. I never really had any consistent exposure to smokers until I was an older teen.

Smoking, even passive smoking, has been strongly tied whatever is defined as mental illness or distress; but it's more that people with certain disorders are far more likely than the general population to smoke, and not that smokers have psychiatric disorders.
There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.

Ah if only this were true. The massive benefit to humanity. I hope the statistics angle in this direction come the future. Australia is already technically in the future, but only by a margin of several hours, so that hardly counts.

Don't worry Viccy, I'm not shy of calling you crazy. I'm straight up like that.

This is like one of those lateral thinking tests, where you have half an hour to come up with 20 plausible alternative uses for a cigarette.

I could probably fit the description as a petty criminal. Do we not all do a few illegal things every now and then that are accepted as normal behavior?
Downloading movies or music illegally? Illegal fireworks? Yadayada.
Most men will beat someone up in the course of their life. That's a serious crime.
I could probably be classified as mentally ill by some definition.
Some would probably pin me as bordering on psychopathic. However, I do have lots of feelings, empathy and sympathy.
For the people I consciously or unconsciously select to have them for. Or someone really cute, innocent, weak, or honest.

And yes, I do smoke. At least regularly during summer. I sort of stop when the cold hits these parts.
-22 Degrees Fahrenheit (-30 Celsius) is really not the kind of weather you want to go out in for a pleasant smoke.

And by the way, Victor, you sound like a mix-addict teenage girl all the time. I love it.
You must also be a smoker. We should definitely sit down for a good cigar sometime

Smoking induces receptors in the brain efficiently. Therefore it is difficult to give it up.
There is a motive. A counter motive: health, other people's judgement.
Which motive is the stronger one depends on a variety of factors. It is a known fact smoking facilitates the thinking process.

To say that smoking is bad, period, and that you shouldn't smoke, period, does not generate understanding.

It may be smoking irritates or harms others. So does car and industrial pollution, noise and traffic. Among other things.
