I saw something in a Smithsonian article recently that I thought was interesting - it was a story about the checkered life of Norman Mailer ( whom I am NOT a fan of), and I quote the writer here: " His ego was first of all a reflection of his character as an American. Mailer unceasingly criticized America, and yet in his own ways he embodied America's worst faults : self-indulgence, bullying, sense of entitlement, irrelevant belligerence, the obnoxious American self-importance that is corrupted Emersonianism - Emerson without the sweetness, the calm, the brains, the transcendence." ( The writer then went on to correlate Mailer with Captain Ahab, so I'm guessing he wasn't a big fan either. )

Does this ring true for anyone else?

ESFJ. But that's the idealized type of most modern countries. You know, help everyone, make them into little versions of you, trust the government, and don't change as a person through your life.

I'm guessing that the world's view of us, based on what we project through popular media and foreign policy, is ESFJ.

If the US were ESFJ, I think it would do a better job of listening to the views and perspectives of other countries. I would guess ENTJ.

FUKD...I'd have to say an immature hypocritical ESFJ.

ESTJ when dealing with foreign policy.

    I'd say ESTP, geopolitically.

    USA is eSfJ.

Its tough being an INTP in an ESFJ world.

Luckily the state of California is more P.

Initial thoughts? EXXJ.... ESTJ, ENTJ, ESFJ but NOT ENFJ.

I'll chew on it and come back.

The world perceives us as a country obsessed with bombing the crap out of our enemies under a financially motivated cause. That sounds very ESTJ. An ESFJ country would have a greater interest in cooperating peacefully with other countries while maintaining several of its traditions. A kinder, gentler U.S. of A that still claimed to practice WWJD.
Surgeons replace one of your neurons with a microchip that duplicates its input-output functions. You feel and behave exactly as before. Then they replace a second one, and a third one, and so on, until more and more of your brain becomes silicon. Since each microchip does exactly what the neuron did, your behavior and memory never change. Do you even notice the difference? Does it feel like dying? Is some other conscious entity moving in with you?
