Judging by reason #20 and several of the user comments, that list comes from a website that wants to see the US collapse. I do think we can expect to see a continued decline in both ours and the world economy--for one thing, we're running out of fuel with which to power society--but I'm not going to measure the severity of that decline with evidence provided by a group of people who want to see the world come to an end.

The US is not collapsing, it merely has a deathwish. I wouldn't encourage it.

Put it this way: the Euro is on its way out. With PIGS in horrid financial shape (Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Spain), more people want dollars. And generally, with so many nations (especially China) holding such a vast quantity of dollars, if the dollar gets dumped, we here in the states suffer, but hoo boy...the rest of the world is going to eat it big time, and a lot worse than we here in the states are. Furthermore, consider this:

We have Silicon Valley, we have Wall Street, and once Electric Vehicle technology becomes more efficient, we'll probably see a revitalization of a lot of the auto manufacturing industry. Oh, and then there's green energy, since oil is a diminishing resource, and a lot of it is lorded over by religious nutjobs.

No, I don't think the country of Microsoft and Google and GE and Lockeed Martin and Goldman Sachs is going anywhere anytime soon.

The answer is simple: kill the Internet.

    This will not end well...
But it will at least be poetic, I suppose...

Hmm... But what if it does end well?
Then I suppose it will be a different sort of poetry, a preferable sort...
A sort I could become accustomed to...

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

Crashes can happen very fast, it's not always just a continiues downward slope. At the way this economy is setup, only needs a trigger for it to happen. The first domino.
The event in the beginning of May, showed how quickly things can go out of control ...with just the news broadcasts of Greece and the riots - which is a country thats just a blip in economic power.

Sometimes longer term stock market analysis is very helpful.

And we're at much worse position then the 1930's depression.

    And a little australian comedy.

Can US be saved from collapsing?
Yes, but it won't, for the same reason Europe won't be saved. Think of our future as an abortion, a bloody, dismembered fetus-- but on a cosmic scale, a Nirvana into nothingness dutifully paid for by the welfare-state, an obese government for an obese people.

Capitalism will live on, democratically in India, and undemocratically in China.
