did you check into the 21st century scholars program for them? I know people who went to college with that and didn't have to pay at all

also, doing well on the PSATs Junior year can give you a lot of scholarship opportunities- and it is wise to avoid student loans

The three younger ones will probably get 21st century scholar-ships. Didn't realize we qualified in time for the first one.

Our oldest daughter did the PSAT her sophomore year and now almost all the mail in the mailbox is for her. SAT next month. God. How did I get so frikken old??
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

you're not old... unless you've decided you are

(or sit in a rocker on the front porch yelling at kids to get off your lawn!)

There's a lot of programs that state colleges offer scholarship wise based on PSAT scores... she'll be getting the mail for those at the beginning of senior year and the summer before
