This is a good point. In the US it's possibly still more affordable to have single-income families than other parts of the developed world?

I have no data on this topic, and wouldn't hazard a guess.

What am I preaching exactly? I haven't even stated a position. I was hoping the members of this board would be capable of engaging in a reasonable discussion of the issues, but yet again, I am disappointed. I have no problem with disagreement, just stick to the issues and stop second guessing my motives. You make yourself look small and paranoid and you're boring me.
The problem is your thread title. It's factually incorrect. Your failure to admit this fact leads me (and probably others) to believe you have a nefarious agenda. Also, the fact that you simply dismiss or ignore anyone that refutes your argument makes it difficult to take you seriously. You're like Fecal McAngry's politically opposite twin.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

    I've lived there, pal.

BTW, presumably two of the report's co-authors are credible, at least:
Ricardo Hausmann, Director of the Centre for International Development at Harvard University, USA; Laura Tyson, Professor of Business Administration and Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, USA; and Saadia Zahidi, Head of Constituents at the World Economic Forum

Now who has no credibility? I see you haven't been to the US. Ever. Single income families are all but dead here from what I have seen.

Harvard and Berkely. Hmmm... that rather paints a picture.

Can someone do something about the hostile derailer/heckler in this thread please? Report post apparently isn't working.

I can't hep but feel like the avenue of legitimate criticism of Morgan's thread has been hijacked by people who are sensitive about the American ego.

I have to tell you that he may not have technically done anything wrong up this point.
