    Heh.

Allow me to personally inform you that my name is simply a refence to the human brain, and, my admiration of the magnificent object - especially of the conciousness, the mind. If you wish to believe it was my brain that I was talking about feel free to do so. Just don't think that I was talking about brains which lack the ability to deduce what my name was talking about exactly. Those can be called RubbishMinds.

And yes, I am a narcissist by nature. Such a naughty boy I am.

    Toodles.

    This will not end well...
But it will at least be poetic, I suppose...

Hmm... But what if it does end well?
Then I suppose it will be a different sort of poetry, a preferable sort...
A sort I could become accustomed to...

Oh, come on though, man, your name's magnificent mind. Of course that would lead people to think its about you. It's like if I made my name "UltraCock" and then said it was an homage to the functioning of the human penis. Most people would just assume I was an internet perv.

You shouldn't be proud of being a narcissist. Do you know the story of Narcissus? It's actually a pretty sad one. I think everybody's got a narcissistic streak in them, though.

The first one, aggravated allergies...my experience directly contradicts their claim. When I was younger, I was mildly allergic to pollen and highly allergic to ragweed. Now I have almost no symptoms.

This article is full of some nice scare tactics, not unlike the Bush administration. Under "The Big Thaw":

Recent discoveries reveal the possibility of long-dormant diseases like smallpox could re-emerge as the ancient dead, their corpses thawing along with the tundra, get discovered by modern man.
Smallpox? Are they seriously trying to claim that global warming will cause smallpox? Bullshit!

Reading through this article, it looks like some of this shit was made up just to scare people.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Regardless of the article, this point is so anecdotal as to be almost humorous. You must know better than that.

Of course it's anecdotal, but no less valid than the claims in that article. They chose a phenomenon and tried to imagine some way to claim global warming was the cause. Then they put it into a nice propaganda piece.

I'll try to trace their research. The important thing is if they have validly amassed quantitative evidence of their assertion.

What I don't like about this is that, whether global warming is man-made or not, people who say it's manmade and get everyone to change to clean fuels and etc and then the earth keeps getting warmer can just say it's "because by the time we changed the effects were already irreversible!" really, without any evidence.

If we can make all of those changes, and global warming is still taking place, then we are screwed anyway and it really doesn't matter anymore.
