Since we're on the topic, shouldn't we be honest in recognizing our government DOES NOT CONTROL the currency?

There's nothing Federal about the Federal Reserve at all. Who sits on the board? Private bankers. Who sets the interest rates? Private Bankers.
Who determines how much cash to pump into the system? Private Bankers.
    Who controls inflation? Private Bankers.

A government that doesn't control it's own currency doesn't have much, if any power at all.

Of course, the Elect control the Reserve Currency of the world.

And as you note, they are not elected by the people, they are elected by God.

And so naturally they write on the Reserve Currency of the world, "In God We Trust".

To believe in the concept of God requires faith.

To believe the US Dollar is worth anything requires a similar leap of faith.

along the lines of what I was thinking

What I wonder whenever I read this phrase is "who in the world is 'we'?"

And no matter who the 'we' is, it is ridiculous to be sure of anyone's trust in something, other that one's own trust.

And to assume this trust to be part of large masses of people is to be totally ignorant of non-believers.

As you probably know, Big Brother was never actually revealed at the end of 1984.

    Discuss.
Big brother is becoming more real every day. Take a look at the most recent Economist which is about data. Big brother is the intelligence agencies and large corporations.

Really I think, again, Victor should take up a new crusade - Privacy in the Information Age. It is a much more interesting topic.

Depends, if you're a conservative you're going to believe that politics ultimately trumphs economics and the monopoly on the legitimate use of force, command of the army and police are going to mean that they government is in control.

If you're a socialist you'll not be surprised as to the power of bankers, although you might throw a broader net and include other elites but sum it up as the "1%" or if you're a certain sort of socialist you may actually affirm the same position as the conservative but not consider this a particularly good thing.

If you're a liberal, especially a free marketeer, you'll affirm that individualism and statism are such that the power of bankers will ultimately benefit private individuals because it off sets different sorts of groupthink and special interests, particularly organised labour.
