I do actually feel very moderate in my beliefs, but if people want to conflate that with conformity then whatever.

You could just as easily say its understanding that your POV is one of many, but that doesn't make for raucous and contentious threads now does it?
Relationships have normal ebbs and flows. They do not automatically get better and better when the participants learn more and more about each other. Instead, the participants have to work through the tensions of the relationship (the dialectic) while they learn and group themselves and a parties in a relationships. At times the relationships is very open and sharing. Other time, one or both parties to the relationship need their space, or have other concerns, and the relationship is less open. The theory posits that these cycles occur throughout the life of the relationship as the persons try to balance their needs for privacy and open relationship.

You quote me like I've contradicted myself.

Not being concerned with conformity != Refusal to conform

Then again, policy-making power was concentrated in the hands of a few powerful individuals in those days.

I come from a poli. sci. background. "Radical" as I'm using it is simply a descriptive term - one who wants changes from the roots (radix, Latin). You're looking for something that's not there.

Please discuss the topic further, and assume good faith on my part.
    Independent.
    Progressive.

Is that the best you can do-centrist or radical?
You've created a seesaw that won't stop hitting the ground with a thud.
    Where's the balance?

There are radicals on the right as well. Your conflation of "progressive" with "radical" betrays an unsophisticated grasp of political categorization.

Centrist and radical are two sides to their own spectrum. Much as individualist and collectivist are, or libertarian and authoritarian are.

I give you a score of 9.6/10 for consistently missing my point.
Here, I'll make you feeeeeeel better.

    Fi=radical.

Everyone can go home now, since all you want is someone to agree with you.

Am I missing your point, or do I simply find it so irrelevant and lacking in insight that I feel compelled to drag it back into a rudimentary sense of coherency?

Here, I'll make you sooooooound better.

Why would you say this is or is not the case?

If you'd rather not discuss, feel free to leave the thread - you'd bring nothing of value to it, anyway.
