By "who cares?", I mean, "Why should anyone care?"

Every political ideology has had crazy nutjobs in it at some point. Claiming that conservatism is all totally invalid because of Fred Phelps is ridiculous.

Good thing we're taking a stand in the name of truth on a forum dedicated to an obscure pop psychology movement. That's sure to save America from the evils of political lies.
If you could be anything you want, I bet you'd be disappointed--am I right?

It could be a coincidence that during the exact same time we have this anti-tax and anti-government vitriol, that's never been this strong in years, that one person finally acted on that angst. Probably not though. The political environment plays a huge role in almost all political related attacks.

Right-wing extremism has been on the rise for about a year. And every week or so, some prominent person in the conservative movement has some violent "call to arms" remark. Lot's of references to revolution. So they are just feeding this paranoid mindset.

After the attack, Facebook actually had to take down a huge teabagger support group praising the act.

Your clear ignorance and bias of the subject at hand is getting tired. There is no solid link between Joe Stack and the Tea Party movement. Joe Stack has clearly been influenced by a number of topics, not one of which he tried to martyr himself for.

The Tea Party did not start out as an organized group. It was a series of protests against oppressive government measures. It has since been hijacked by the GOP and splintered into multiple groups, with a majority of the first protesters having moved on.

Have you stopped to consider that maybe this guy was driven to do something dramatic, and foolish, because he was pushed over the edge by the IRS and everything else in his life? The Oppressive IRS and federal government had much more to do with his actions than protesting citizens, they should not creating this environment to begin with (there are plenty others like him that are not using planes as weapons).

Shit happens in times like this. Their were lots of violent people in the Civil Rights movement, but they didn't represent the whole. There were also lots of violent black people who had no connections to Civil Rights. Did they represent the Civil Rights movement? Was Joe Stack a "tea-bagger", or was he more likely to be a Marxist? Or was he something else?

Are you anticipating blood shed so gleefully that you would jump to that conclusion so quickly?
As previously stated... AJ, are you so anti-right wing that you would blind yourself to the situation and circumstances at hand just to take a jab at perceived enemies?

I wouldnt say that he's a tea bagger or anything as definite as that but he targetted the IRS for a reason, he didnt fly into an army base, ATF building or city hall, so the politicisation of taxation had something to do with his action here. It wasnt a coincidence, the guy didnt get through reading Marx or whatever and take to the skies and just ditch where ever his fuel ran out, you know?
