True. Many military women are getting raped in Iraq and Afghanistan by their fellow soldiers.

I cannot think of a way for a mother of a young child to properly serve as a soldier.

Daycare in Afghanistan? A nanny in Iraq? Or perhaps simply not raising or even seeing your infant child for 9 months (or whatever the deployment period is).

I think it's completely justified that the army discharged her. And technically, refusing to be deployed is a court-marshal case, but I think the army did well in settling.

Seems pretty simple to me. If you weren't raped, it's your own damn fault you are pregnant, and you SHOULD be disciplined in some form for intentionally breaking the agreement you made to serve your country.

If you were raped, that is an entirely different matter, and obviously, you shouldn't be punished for that (although someone else should be).

    +1.

    Just what he said.

Maybe I'm a dinosaur but women shouldn't be allowed in the military(except as typists). And we should have a DRAFT so that everybody can serve and not just the small town rednecks who seem to be more patriotic than the rest of us.

You have a strange definition of enemy.
