    Well... yes.

Nobody votes in primaries except those who care too much. Therefore, wingnuts.

Okay. I enjoy voting in primaries because there's usually more choices than the general election. For instance, my local Congressional district has seven candidates running for the Republican nomination. There's a lot more different personalities and biographies to digest when considering the vote so it's more fun. The general election there will only be one Republican, one Democrat, and maybe a Libertarian. I guess that means I care "too much?"

What Skyward said. I vote in primaries too -- Democratic primaries, but I think you guessed that already. I wish sane Republicans would take their party back from the wingnuts.

Getting back to the ad, it's clear to me that whoever made it has a low opinion of its intended audience, hence my use of the word "wingnuts".

I want to reflect at this time that Carly Fiorina, the person that this campaign ad was made for, won the Republican nomination and is currently actually comepetitive against incumbent Barbara Boxer.

It is one of the many, many vexing possibilities that has arisen out of our present political climate that this person could actually win the senate seat.

It's a toss-up between Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman for governor, too. And Whitman's campaign has been WAY nasty, first against Poizner and now against Brown. Check this shit out:

This is more in the so bad it's good category, but I thought this ad was pretty awesome:

And the inevitable parody wasn't half bad, either.
