    Default Playing political catch-up

So I've been out of the loop on politics for the past 9 months or so. I was tired of being pissed off all the time (at both parties) and decided to stop following the news for a while. Now I need to play catch-up, but I'm having some problems finding unbiased information. Are there any websites or news sources that anyone can recommend to catch me up, especially concerning the healthcare reform bill?

The first thing to do is get past the myth of unbiased information. The best thing to do is to become familiar with the bias of a few organizations/writers so that you can "filter" the information to get to the truth. Of course, it's best to have different info sources, as their bias will keep some news from even reaching you in the first place...

Nine months eh? You haven't missed much.

    Obama = Bush's Third Term

The Dem House is just as stupid and corrupt as the last bunch of GOP'ers

It isn't Health Care reform, it's stuff the pockets of the Corporations of choice. In exchange for reselection money.

The best down-the-middle least biased news sites -

    US News & World Report
USA Today (maybe the most centrist publication out there)

    The best left-of-center news sites
    -

    The Huffington Post (my favorite)
    The NY Times
    The Nation

The best right-of-center news sites (this is a hard one, right-wingers tend to use the internet less, because they're older, and their sites are crappy, but judge for yourself) -

    The FOX Nation
    Drudge Report
    WND (this one is far-right)

No joke. Sometimes the top 10 stories on their site are all Obama birth certificate conspiracy related.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Obama says he was going to do his nation a favour and ended up as another pointless individual in power.

This is why I'd never go into politics. If you want to make real changes, you have to break some eggs; step on people's toes. All politicians are manipulable pussies who try to satisfy everyone so they can retain their own personal power. They don't want to make any changes because they're afraid of the consequences.

Which is it, is Obama too much of a pussy to step on people's toes and make real changes, or is he brutally paving the way to Hell and Communism?

    Make up your minds, people.
