Is the plural "goyim?" or is that the adjective form?

I think its normal to get offended if people call you words that you never heard and that are could be mistaken for similar words like 'gay'.

I have yet to meet anybody around here who uses this term as a synonym for gentile. Aside from its origin (?), it has no importance whatsoever. Shabbat goy refers to someone who is NOT JEWISH, yet assists jewish communities by doing things that is prohibited for them.

As far as I have heard, yes.

It originally meant "gentile" because Yids were generally surrounded by them and therefore anyone doing shabbat goy things would necessarily be a gentile. I guess now with such a mix of religions though a shabbat goy would refer to anyone non-Jewish doing prohibited things, without the person necessarily being a gentile (we're too lazy to come up with new words).

Man, I've never heard anyone offended by whitey or honky or cracker but I have heard them offended by goy. If it was the similarity of the word to "gay", then I'm going to blame the heterosexuals for ruining our word! :steam:

Now, does WASP mean White Anglo-Saxon Person or White Anglo-Saxon Protestant?
