Maybe it is that Cuba has better healthcare and education statistics than the USA too, or that it is the only country in Latin America which ahs eradicated absolute poverty, despite being subjected to embargo for 50 years and having some of the least natural resources in the region, while all the other corrupt capitalist regimes have been showered with aid and tend to have good material resources...

It's easy to eradicate absolute poverty when everyone is generally poor. And Cuba does NOT have better heath care or education than the United States. It's a really shitty place.

Speaking of Chavez, I foundthis to be another example of how unbelievable that so called "educated people" could give him any credit.

Sure, it's about video games, but that just shows how ridiculously hypocritical this jackass is.

Here in Germany sadly there are several politicians who brand video games as the devil. Yeah, it sucks.

It has higher literacy than the US. and the best health system in Latin America, and considering that something like 40% of the US has no healthcare, for many people in the US, they would be better off in Cuba, yes.

Liekwise poverty - everywhere else in Altin America, people starve. Not in Cuba. now it started off the revolution as a coutnry with meagre resources, a US colony, and was then put under an embargo. In those conditions, they have acheived a high level of human development compared to the captialist countries in similair positions.

you say it's shitty, but what about all the millions of people in your country on the street, or in the soup kitchens, with no pride or hope. Do you think Cuba is shitty compared to that?

First of all, no one has "no health care" in the United States. You can ALWAYS go to an emergency room to be treated, and they cannot turn you away. Secondly, the number of people without HEALTH INSURANCE (big difference) is about 46 million, which is less than 16% of the people here. So you just more than doubled the amount in your baseless exaggeration.

Even more ludicrously, you maintain that poor people in the United States would be better off if they moved to Cuba. And yet, they stay in the United States. I wonder why that is? Oh, right: no one in their right mind would ever move from the United States to Cuba. It's arguably the crappiest country in the Western Hemisphere besides Haiti.

Cuba's growth rate totally stagnated since the early-1960s. There is no question whatsoever that they country has gotten worse under Castro. It's terrible, and that is not even mentioning the literally atrocious civil rights record there.

Yes, Cuba is shitty compared to the poor parts of Los Angeles. That is why you have people sneaking out of Cuba in ships or running away to defect when they travel. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about regarding Cuba.
