Thumbs down The Inner and the Outer

Yes, when I was a little boy, my chaplain said to me that integrity was a real thing for me.

Perhaps another way of putting it is that my inner life is real for me.

That means I can fully imagine something and so it becomes real for me.

And when it becomes real for me, I want to make it real for you too.

So I try to share the experience of my inner life with you.

Sometimes this works. And sometimes I am foolishly surprised when it doesn't.

So my inner life, being real for me, now leads me to a life project of making it real for you.

Of course sometimes my inner child becomes frustrated and angry and I tend to withdraw and build up my inner resources.

So I am always looking for ways to marry the inner and the outer.

I am always courting the outer in the hope she will say yes.

He doesn't know he's wearing rose-colored glasses, but has quite a fondness for pointing out the color of everyone else's (and is sometimes pretty good at it.)
From what I've observed on here, Ni seems like it comes in and extracts the essence of what's being said or going on, and whether that effect is serious or humorous or poetic depends on the individual and topic at hand. It has this lovely non-sequitr quality that is somehow often simultaneously, paradoxically meaningful.

My inner life is very real to me too. I'm just not real comfortable with parading every bit of it about on the Internet. I'm more selective, that's all.

Have you ever tried to get in touch with the outer world in Se terms?

That is, by experiencing it directly in physical, visceral terms and appreciating the value of sensory pleasures simply for themselves, and not analyzing and evaluating the underlying meaning?

Do something physical and appreciate it for the shallow surface value in the way it makes you immediately feel.
If you could be anything you want, I bet you'd be disappointed--am I right?

When I do that, I feel drunk. And sometimes it is nice to take a break from the inner life by being intoxicated, but eventually the inner life calls me back imperiously.

I can intoxicate myself with lyricism, but eventually I need to come down to earth. I like to fly but from one point to another.

You feel drunk because you haven't practiced this much and you don't know how to control it, but I have one of those intuitive hunches that this is the way you will learn to connect with your outer world.

Yes I appear non-sequitur but I am ruled by reason. It is just that I make leaps of reason.

The leaps of reason are like sudden revelations and quite pleasurable.

However I am often aware that my reader may not be able to follow the leap so sometimes I try to slow down and explain how I got from A to B.

I do find it annoying to have to slow down and explain, as I love to fly.

However I would like to emphasise I don't abandon reason even when I fly.

Yes, and that's why I said that often (sometimes) the non-sequitr is simultaneously meaningful. It can be powerful.

I think my inner life really likes to dance. So I dance here.
