everyone uses every function about evenly. take NE for example. if there are those who don't use it much, then why are there such massive amounts of people constantly flowing through Wallmart with 20 items or less?

Excuse me, but does this smell like chloroform to you?

    *sigh*

That is ridiculous. I would expect one to be a little more intelligent than that. There are places to put guns where you can get to them, without them being a harm to your children. Yes, I am American. I grew up with guns. I was taught about them. I was taught their dangers and beauties.

You don't hide things from kids. You teach them of the consequences.

Anyways, my point is, if this is a quick, loud break-in at night, then you should be able to reach your weapon.

So, in short, you are saying you would rather have no weapon at all?

What would all you Brits do if someone broke in? What is your plan? I am highly curious.

It's unenlightened attitudes like those that make Americans not give a crap about what other countries think. Researchers estimate that American gun owners use them defensively over 1.5 MILLION times per year.
