a.) Most "whites" enjoy or identify with.
b.) Most non-whites do not enjoy or identify with.
To me, labeling basic "American" culture as white is a lot like racists labeling the joyful consumption of fried chicken or watermelon as "black" characteristics; quite a lot of cognitive dissonance going on there....and, in the United States, the negative repercussions of such cognitive dissonance is more strongly experienced by members of minority groups (such as studious black students being stigmatized by peer groups as "oreo's" trying to "act white").
"White" pride is stupid because any aggregation of predominantly white cultures will contain several elements that are mutually opposed with elements one may identify with-race is simply too broad a category to have legitimate meaning as an aspect of one's identity in isolation of other factors.
"Black" pride is highly problematic, but (afro-centrist manifestations aside) not as inherently absurd as "white" pride as far as the United States i concerned, due to the involuntary amalgamation of various predominantly black cultures into one shared, prolonged, and involuntary cultural experience. In effect, race was turned into an ethnicity.
