Marijuana is harmless compared to alcohol, imo. It should be legalized. Period.

Yeah it just doesn't make logical sense that something less harmful than alcohol is illegal... while alcohol is legal and causes more health issues.

As said earlier it's illegal because of politics and not the effects of it. If alcohol is legal, then that's a clear indicator of what I just said.

And it can range from small health benefits (1-2 glasses of wine per day) to absolute ruination.
There have been no proven benefits of consuming alcohol other than survival rates in crashes because intoxicated people are less likely to go into shock.

The health benefits of wine is the equivalent of drinking the same amount of grape juice a day.

I've read differing accounts about this, but wine is still not bad for you in moderate amounts. Most drugs aren't.

I'm not sure why whether or not it's good for you is relevant to an argument on prohibition, frankly. It's not as if we don't have the right to engage voluntarily in unhealthy habits.
If you could be anything you want, I bet you'd be disappointed--am I right?

It shouldn't be. People in engage in unhealthy things all the time. A lot of them are fun and give people temporary respite from life.
