Horray, Europe likes them because progressives, whose ideals originate from European thinkers, are transforming the American system into one that more resembles Europe. Of course they love us. People were always jealous of the big brother America, and now they are elated that big brother is suddenly turning around and modeling himself after little brother and giving all the other siblings a chance to "be just and equal". But next door neighbors like China, Russia, and the Middle East don't give a flying shit about the family affairs of the western household. If big brother is not taking charge anymore, it makes it easier to pick on the western siblings and jack them for their lunch money, and are comforted by the fact that all of the siblings will now have equal amounts of money since they are all forced to share equally. Heck, they get to be the big boys on the block now! And little Iran has always had that grudge against former big brother America's good friend Israel. Now he sees his chance to beat him with a baseball bat and be done with him once and for all. Oh, what a happy neighborhood.

Interesting... Because it seems that in reality most people are in fact anti-Americanism..

I guess it is an either hate or love kind of thing.

I myself love USA to death and from experience as a Pro, I have yet to come across someone who likes it...

They ARE antiAmerican. They love us now because they see/think that we are going to CEASE to be "American". That's the point.

It's a good thing that the opinions of non-Americans count even less here than do the opinions of the majority of Americans.

a)Democracy also originated in Europe, man.

b)Even if that is true (that transformation you speak of), is it bad because you think it's genuinely bad or because America might lose its status?

Kinda reminds me the opposition to EU coming from within. Quite frankly...after all these years I'm still waiting someone to tell me how it's been a bad thing. Deluded nationalism can go fuck itself.

Interviews are conducted among citizens of 20 countries around the world. In each survey country, about 1,000 online interviews are conducted with people age 18+. Each of the 50 nations is evaluated by up to 10,000 people in this global study.
Okay, so any middle-class Joe in Malaysia with a computer will certainly choose America, because they want to emigrate there someday for better economic security.

Well dumb @&#, democracy and republic aren't mutually exclusive. Anyway, the concept of republic also originated in Europe.

Yes it did. And what does this have to do with modern European style social, health, and economic reform making us more like "everyone else"?
