Agreed. With Slate. With Edgar. With everybody. If he does something worthwhile, or even if he doesn't for world peace; for goodness sake, he doesn't deserve it yet.

And he knows. I bet when the Secret Service knocked on his door this morning to deliver the news, he said two things for sure:

    1. "Oh shit!...uh...I mean 'snap'".
    2. "What the hell...why?"
    Love is the point.

He should give it back or refuse acceptance (whatever is the process).

Maybe they thought we would be out of Iraq and Afghanistan by now.

How many more accolades for "not being Bush" can someone get without doing anything

So, not being Bush and having good intentions makes you eligable for the peace prize? In that case, where's mine?!
I think Obama's two major accomplishments were outlined very well in that SNL sketch. Those accomplishments would be "jack" and "squat".

The norwegian left(which inhabits most of npp commitee) has had an embarrasing 'teenage girl' crush on Obama for one and a half year now.
I image theyve been sitting in their meeting room talking about 'Oh my god, like how awesome is Barack. He should like totally win. He like so deserves it.'

    He deserves it.

He has worked really hard. Plus he is the first black president.

I think the committe figured the political landscape had gotten kinda boring lately, and they wanted to give the pundits some really good ammo to talk about. And it won't just be Limbaugh and O'Reilly going on about this. SNL and the Daily Show are going to be milking this too.

I think the best part of it is just telling people. And hearing them not believe you. And knowing that they won't believe you until they see it on the news. That's gold!
