MacGuffin and I had a friendly dispute over the French Revolution a few years back.
I do not remember who won.

Do the senses make sense? I am afraid they don't.
Humbert Humbert asked the very question.
He was awaiting trial, and he addressed the question to the ladies and gentlemen of the jury.

Vladimir was not a moralist. Roman is not Humbert. Life is not black and white.
    Thank you, Athenian and Tinkerbell.
The good questions are not answered by the mob.
The mob is quick witted. It is disposed to action.

    Yes... It's actually compulsory.

On the plus side, the PTSD treatment is free and it keeps the quacks in a job.

    No, you're thinking of Japan...

Listen to me, baby, you got to understand, you're old enough to learn the makings of a man.

Ah, you quote me selectively. You have left out the good things I have said about Puritanism.

Of course today Puritanism is almost a dirty word, but Puritanism gave the colonies in North America backbone, an elegant aesthetic and literacy.

Just as the Aristocratic Enlightenment gave the colonies in Australia a love of the outdoors, a jealous kind of equality, as well as pragmatism and reason.

And how interesting that the Puritans of North America and the Enlightened Aristocrats of Australia are united by three treaties - a military treaty, a land treaty and an economic treaty.

But what is most interesting is the relationship between the Puritans and the Aristocrats as we include China and India in the G20 and fight the Islamists in Afganistan.

And of course we owe it all to the Scots, as we wouldn't be here without you.

What was it that George III called the Revolution? His "little Presbyterian uprising" or some such?

I don't get it. Why didn't the parents of the girl buy a shotgun and dealt with it? I would not sleep at night knowing my daughter's rapist is enjoying himself somewhere in Europe, in complete freedom and wealth.
