this fact illustrates the demand for the wsj is such that it can charge for what others give away for free.
so, whether their slant is left, right or center, they are doing something right.
edit: since when did the new york times charge (not simply free registration)?
I subscribed to the WSJ, and ahh yes, you're right about the The New York Times online, it is free. I didn't know that. I don't know how they can keep that up though unless the quality of their content drops (i.e. from laying off reporters in order to cut costs).
